Where to start… your accomodation will be well covered at Six Senses, but Quinta da Pacheca actually has wine barrels you can stay in that make for a pretty unique experience for a night. It’s also a beautiful venue. Quinta do Bomfim has a beautiful terrace and great wines to enjoy overlooking the river. Quinta do Jalloto is a great family winery with beautiful views. Quinta do Tedo has similarly beautiful views, completely organic and family operated. Quinta de Santa Eufémia, and Quinta do Crasto for an incredible lunch. Quinta do Seixo also has amazing views and their staff give great tours.

This should give you a few, all nearly 5-star properties to explore. We’ll do a separate piece covering wineries of different styles soon! Let us know what you end up doing. Enjoy your experience in the Douro, it’s truly magical.

Would love to get a list of wineries not to miss for still wines. Thanks.
